Pine Bush Equipment has opened a NAPA store inside of its Holmes, N.Y., location. The new NAPA store opened on Dec. 17, 2010, under the name of PBE Auto Parts LLC.

Mike Crawford, parts group manager of Pine Bush Equipment’s three locations including Pine Bush, N.Y., Holmes, N.Y., and the East PBE location in Newington, Conn., contacted NAPA when he learned that Bob’s Auto Parts, a NAPA store in nearby Carmel, N.Y., was closing. The location is a recognized NAPA auto and truck parts store.

This move on Pine Bush Equipment’s part has two primary objectives, according to the company, to better serve its existing customers and to attract individuals from around the area that may have never visited PBE before. Many of these individuals, even though they may not be contractors, could be in the market for any one of the many lawn and garden care products and compact tractors made available from Kubota.

“Thus far customer response to the NAPA store has been very positive,” said Crawford.

Pine Bush Equipment has invested in a half a million dollar inventory and has made arrangements for parts that are not in inventory to be available the same day or the next day. An open house to formally introduce the concept to Pine Bush’s customers and to the Holmes, N.Y., community is being held on April 30. The open house also will feature Ron Capps’s NAPA sponsored NHRA Funny Car dragster.
