CEG Productions, the trade show division of Construction Equipment Guide, has announced the dates for its 2010 Pennsylvania Expos.

The Pittsburgh Construction Expo is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 9 and 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the new Monroeville Convention Center, and the 11th Annual Philadelphia Construction Expo will be held on Tuesday, March 9 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday, March 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, Pa.

Both shows will showcase the latest in equipment and technologies; everything from heavy and light machinery, trucks and trailers, to laser systems, safety equipment, computer hardware and software and everything in between.

In addition to the exhibits, both shows will focus on networking and educational opportunities. Several seminars, training sessions, recertification programs and round table presentations are in the works. The American Concrete Pavement Association, ABC, LICA and PA One Call are among the groups planning seminars at both locations.

The Philadelphia Construction Expo will be essentially three shows in one. CEG Productions is working with the Associated Builders & Contractors of Southeastern PA, and Asphalt Care Equipment to produce a mega show serving all segments of the industry.

More than 100 exhibits are planned, featuring the latest makes and models of construction equipment, as well as trucks, trailers, attachments, contractor supplies and all the ancillary products and services, such as finance, bonding, insurance, and more.

Several of the area’s top equipment dealers have already committed to the show, including Norris Sales, Ransome CAT and Earthborne Equipment.

In addition to the exhibits, the show will be an outstanding educational opportunity for attendees. Many of the industry’s leading associations, including EMCA, ABC, Suburban Contractors Association and Delaware Contractors Association are working closely with CEG Productions to develop programs that will help contractors do their jobs better, faster, safer and more efficiently.

According to Bob Buckley, president of CEG Productions, the purpose of the show is to provide a venue for contractors, landscapers, builders and public works officials to gather in a setting where they can learn about new products and innovations in the industry, network with their colleagues, and attend seminars that will prepare them to compete successfully in today’s marketplace.

“The tremendous support we’re getting from all segments of the industry will allow us to give contractors a day jam-packed with activities and information,” he said.

Asphalt Care will present several classes aimed at paving and milling topics at the Philadelphia show, and several other seminars on a variety of areas of interest are in the works for both shows.

Parking and admission for both shows are free.
