Construction Equipment Guide

Powerscreen, a provider of mobile crushing, screening and washing equipment, showcased the latest in a series of new product launches at Bauma 2010: the Warrior 800, Warrior 2400 and Pegson XH320SR. Also on display was the established Pegson XR400S.

Powerscreen distributors and team members defied the Icelandic volcanic disruption by travelling from across the globe to Bauma by cars, trains and boats to ensure a successful event. Powerscreen Global Sales Director Pat Brian commented; “Despite the initial difficulties in getting to the show, Powerscreen had a remarkable turn out from customers and distributors, highlighting the commitment to the Powerscreen brand and generating impressive sales including the sale of all display machines.”

The Bauma stand was supported by the Powerscreen sales team and strong dealer network from across Europe. The 125 Powerscreen dealers globally deliver local service to all customers; providing sales, installation, parts and maintenance by factory trained personnel.

On display were the following machines:

Powerscreen Warrior 800

The new Powerscreen Warrior 800 is a multi-purpose, heavy-duty incline two-deck screen, capable of stockpiling, three-way splitting or scalping before and after the crushing units. The screenbox will accept a wide variety of screen media making it suitable for a range of applications including topsoil, recycling, construction and demolition waste, sand, gravel and aggregates. The machine is available in either tracked or wheeled mobile versions, with both configurations offering a compact transport footprint with a width of 8 ft. 2 in. (2.5 m).

Powerscreen Warrior 2400

Bauma also showcased the new Powerscreen Warrior 2400, a true giant among tracked mobile, heavy-duty screens. The Warrior 2400 extends the Powerscreen range of heavy-duty screeners to meet the needs of large-scale end users in the recycling, quarrying and mining sectors.

With a robust heavy-duty incline screen featuring a high amplitude triple shaft screen drive, the multi-purpose Warrior 2400 has the ability to accept large feed sizes and process up to 771 ton (700 t). This enables screening, scalping, two or three way splitting and stockpiling materials such as aggregates, topsoil, coal, construction and demolition waste and iron ore.

Powerscreen Pegson XH320SR

The new Powerscreen Pegson XH320SR, with throughputs of up to 353 ton (320 t) per hour, is designed to excel in the toughest of conditions in recycling, demolition and quarrying applications. Key features include an efficient crusher direct-drive system and a double deck grizzly feeder with under-screen and load management system to reduce material entry to the chamber. This results in increased throughput and reduced wear costs, according to the manufacturer.

Additional benefits include the under pan feeder, new impact chamber with four-bar rotor, twin-apron design, adjustment assist and hydraulic overload protection.

Powerscreen Pegson XR400S

The Powerscreen Pegson XR400S is a high performance primary jaw crushing plant designed for medium scale operators in quarrying, demolition, recycling and mining applications. The Pegson XR400S benefits from an aggressive crushing action and high swing jaw, which encourages material to enter the crushing chamber. This machine is ideal for recycling applications, as the hydraulic release system protects the machine by sensing an overload and opening to release the obstruction of trapped metal or steel through the jaw without damage.
