Coming off an unusually mild winter and into early spring temperatures allowed Schlouch Incorporated (SI) teams to maintain a steady pace of activity on the company's diverse portfolio of projects. Teams are active throughout Schlouch's market area from the Philadelphia suburbs to the Lehigh Valley. Here is a sampling of new projects underway or recently completed during this spring and summer period.
Chester County
Provco Pinegood Atwater LP named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare outparcel building pads on 10.8 acres for the Atwater Village Commercial Project on Atwater Drive, East Whiteland Township, Malvern, Chester County, Pa. Construction Manager of the commercial project is PH&C LLC. Schlouch is providing survey, stakeout, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pads, curbs and paving. Work will be completed in the fall 2016.
Pennbrook Development I LP selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 10.5-acre site on the Cockerham Tract for The Townes at Malvern. The site is located at 150 Planebrook Road, Malvern, East Whiteland Township, Chester County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, demolition, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pads, curbs and paving. Work will be completed in the summer 2016.
Delaware County
Brookhaven Acquisition LP selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare the site for The Shoppes at Brookhaven, a 31-acre site on Edgmont Avenue, Brookhaven Borough, Delaware County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pads, concrete, curbs, paving, landscaping, seeding and HOP work.
Work will be completed in the fall 2016.
Lehigh County
Posocco Properties has named Schlouch Incorporated to handle site preparation for Blue Barn Meadows Phase 1, a 41.67-acre residential development. The property, located on Blue Barn Road, Upper Macungie and South Whitehall Townships, Lehigh County, Pa., will feature 76 townhouses and six single-family properties. Kay Builders is co-developer of the property. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, demolition, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pads, concrete, curbs, paving and seeding. Schlouch also will install 16,500 sq. ft. of retaining walls and three basins with 30 mil PVC liners. Work will be completed in the spring 2017.
Montgomery County
Douglass Equities LLC chose Schlouch Incorporated for paving maintenance and storm sewer related work on the 3-acre site at Douglass Town Center, County Line Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, Pa. Work was completed in Dec. 2015.
IMC Construction Inc. named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 36.3-acre site for The Reserve at Maybrook for a 251-unit, multi-story residential housing and a parking garage. The project, owned by Maybrook Estates LLC, is at 200 North Wynnewood Ave., Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stake-out, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pads, concrete, curbs and paving. Work will be completed in the fall 2017.
Northampton County
R. S. Mowery & Sons Inc. named Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a warehouse for Dermody Properties LogistiCenter at 33 on a 31.3-acre site at 4200 Braden Blvd. East, Easton, Forks Township, Northampton County, Pa. The facility is owned by Dermody Properties and PCCP LLC, a real estate finance and investment management firm. Schlouch is providing survey, stakeout, blasting, rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pads, curbs and paving. Work will be completed in the fall 2016.
Kay Trio LLC selected Schlouch Incorporated to prepare a 43-acre site for Fields at Trio Farms Phase 5 at Gremar Road, Lower Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pa. Kay Builders is the developer of the project which will include 29 single-family homes and 24 town-houses. Schlouch is providing survey, stakeout, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, sanitary and storm sewers, water line installation, roads, building pads, curbs, paving and seeding. Work will be completed in the fall 2016.
Upper Nazareth Township named Schlouch Incorporated for a traffic signalization project at Route 191 and Friedenstahl Avenue, Upper Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pa. Schlouch is providing clearing, grubbing, survey, stakeout, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, storm sewer, roads, curbs, paving, seeding and traffic signalization. Work will be completed in the summer 2016.
Bethlehem Area School District chose Schlouch Incorporated to install turf on approximately nine acres of public athletic fields at Freedom High School. The fields are located at 3149 Chester Ave., Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pa. Schlouch is providing survey, stakeout, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, storm sewer, water line, concrete, paving and seeding. Work will be completed in the summer 2016.
Lehigh Valley Health Network selected Schlouch Incorporated to build a parking lot extension on 21 acres at the Muhlenberg New South Wing at 2545 Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem, Northampton County, Pa. Schlouch is providing rock removal, earthwork, sediment/erosion control, storm sewers, water line installation, roads, concrete, curbs, paving, land-scaping, seeding, PennDOT improvements and signalization. Work was completed in the spring 2016.
