Putzmeister America Inc. has designed new placing boom system that combines flexibility, operator convenience and low operating costs. The new technology offers two four-section placing booms that connect to the new RS 850 Pedestal system. The new MX 32/36Z and MX 35/39Z feature a lighted boom tip, local controls, the intelligent Ergonic 2.0 radio remote control, dedicated storage space for tools and crane gear.

The MX 32/36Z and MX 35/39Z have an innovative hinge design with quick disconnect system to ensure simple and fast assembly and disconnect. The advanced hinges easily detach from the truck pedestal and insert into the new RS 850 tower pedestal after the boom is flown in by the job site crane. Boom mounting is completed by securely fastening to the working platform with clamping screws.

“The 32/36Z and 35/39Z are great additions to the MX family,” said Bob Weiglein, general manager at Putzmeister America, Inc. “Its design allows for extended flexibility to save space and time, keeping operating costs down. This placing boom adds to our commitment to having the best equipment to meet our customers' unique needs for demanding applications.”

The new placing booms also feature the Putzmeister's Ergonic 2.0 radio remote control system. Released in January 2017, the Ergonic 2.0 delivers a more reliable and customizable experience with new control boxes and panels throughout, offering improved ergonomics and ease of operation while wearing gloves, and a centralized hardware and software in one control unit, according to the manufacturer.

Delivery of the new MX 32/36Z and MX 35/39Z will begin in late 2018.
