The 6204QF Screen is the latest addition to the Q Series of four-deck screens that is designed to increase production at a lower cost.

Developed for a variety of wet and dry applications, including sand and gravel, shot rock and recycle, the 6204QF screen provides the same aggressive and efficient screening action as KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens’ triple-shaft horizontal screen.

The new portable screen offers 33 percent more screening area than a standard 6203LP screen, allowing for increased production at a lower cost when compared to adding additional screens and support equipment, according to Ian Pendergrass, product development manager of KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens.

Additionally, the screen is capable of making additional products or adding efficiencies by load-relieving the product-sizing decks in the same footprint.

“We couldn’t be more excited about the launch of our new four-deck product line,” Pendergrass said. “A four-deck horizontal screen is a unique tool for the industry and we believe it fulfills a void in the industry.”

The 6204QF features an adjustable stroke length of 7/16 to ½ in. (1.1 to 1.2 cm), adjustable stroke angle of 30 to 60 degrees, and an adjustable speed range of 675 to 975 rpm. The screen offers a maximum top deck opening of 2 ½ in. (6.3 cm) and maximum feed size of 8 in. (20 cm).

In addition to the 6204QF, KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens also offers the 8244Q as part of the Q Series.
