On Aug.15, employees at the Ransome CAT headquarters in Bensalem, Pa., were treated to an ice cream social with special guests from the NHRA, “Hot” Rod Fuller and Kenny “Captain Chaos” Koretsky. Employees spent the afternoon getting autographs from the drivers and their teams and examining the dragster and the stock car up close.
Ransome, along with Caterpillar dealers from all over the country, participated in the sponsorship of the David Powers Motor Sports Top Fuel dragster campaigned by Fuller and his team at the NHRA Toyo Tires Nationals Aug. 17 to 19, at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pa.
Fuller went into the event with the top-rated car in its class and the strong possibility of winning the World Championship this year. Fuller’s team has already competed in a number of races this year under the banner of various local Caterpillar dealerships in an effort to recruit service technicians for the company.
Koretsky is a local contractor hailing from Richboro, Pa., and a Ransome CAT customer. He owns KPK Motorsports and drives the team’s pro stock car. Ransome sponsored him at the Nationals as well, putting his impressive Nitro Fish/Ransome CAT Pro Stock Racer into the event.
