Two auctions run simultaneously at all Sales Auction Company’s auctions. Sales Auction Company had a large inventory of mini-excavators and skid steers to choose from. Ready for the auction (L-R) are Nick Zysk, co-owner of Zysk Brothers Incorporated in West Hartford, Conn.; Rob Lodge, owner of Lodge Earth Works LLC in Windsor, Conn.; and Rich Roulston, owner of Roulston Services LLC, Windsor Locks, Conn. Mark (L) and Steven Stanley, father and son who own Cedar Ridge Construction in Newington, Conn., are ready to add some equipment to their fleet. The owner of R&H Construction in East Longmeadow, Mass., is a regular at the sale and has made it a tradition to bring his son, who loves testing out the equipment. In this case, he was dreaming of becoming a future operator of this Michigan wheel loader. A record-breaking turnout of 874 registered ground bidders attended Sales Auction Company’s largest sale to date with 1,217 lots. For many, spending the afternoon, playing on equipment and listening to the sound of numbers roll off an auctioneer’s tongue while waiting to hear the winning the bid is a weekend tradition. An extensive inventory of excavators went on the auction block during Sales Auction Company’s 2017 Fall Sale — two of those were new Doosan 225LCs that sold for $105,000 each.
