Thu May 11, 2017 - Northeast Edition #10
Construction Equipment Guide

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announced the rehabilitation of the I-393 eastbound and westbound bridges over Portsmouth Street in Concord.

Construction began on April 11, and I-393 eastbound and westbound will be reduced to one lane in each direction at the Portsmouth Street bridges between Exits 2 and 3 for approximately two months. Motorists should expect significant delays during peak traffic periods, such as the morning and evening commuting hours. Drivers should expect stop and go traffic on I-393 during these periods, and should use alternate routes if possible.

This work is a part of the road and bridge rehabilitation work on I-393 in Concord and Pembroke that includes pavement rehabilitation, bridge deck repairs, median barrier replacement, guardrail upgrades and culvert replacement.

Weaver Brothers Construction Co. of Bow, N.H., is the general contractor of this $10.6 million project, which is scheduled to be completed near the end of 2017.
