More than 3,550 bidders participated online and in person Aug. 29 at Ritchie Bros.' multi-million-dollar unreserved public equipment auction in North East, Md.

With bidders from 53 countries, approximately 87 percent of the equipment in the auction was sold to out-of-state buyers, from as far away as Germany, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates. Online bidders purchased approximately 53 percent of the equipment sold (by dollar value).

More than 2,450 equipment items and trucks were sold in the auction, including 95 excavators, 95 compactors, 45 loaders, more than 10 dozers, 70 dump trucks, more than 150 aerial work platforms, 135-plus truck tractors, and more.
