The February Orlando auction serves as the big kick-off event for auction season.

Ritchie Bros. holds more than 120 auctions in the United States each year, but nothing compares to its annual five-day Orlando event each February. For decades, the February Orlando auction has been a bellwether event for the equipment industry—it serves as the big kick-off event for auction season. Three weeks out from the Feb 20 – 24, 2017 auction and there are already more than 7,200 items consigned from 650+ equipment owners, with new items being added every day.

The auction will have equipment for every industry, with particularly large selections of gear for the construction, transportation and lifting industry. Early equipment highlights include: 520+ excavators, 195+ wheel loaders, 125+ dozers, 355+ truck tractors, 370+ aerial work platforms, 95+ cranes, and so much more.

“The February Orlando auction is unique as it's a melting pot of equipment from all across the United States and neighboring countries—many contractors hold onto their equipment for the chance to be a part of this massive auction,” said Jake Lawson, Group Senior Vice President, Ritchie Bros. “The equipment selection we will be offering is unmatched anywhere, which results in record bidder registration from around the world. Year after year we set new attendance records with this auction. In February 2016, we had more than 9,850 bidders from 79 countries.”

Bids in the auction can be made in person, online at rbauction.com, via the Ritchie Bros. mobile app and by proxy. Online registration is open now; on-site registration begins on February 16.

Equipment will be sold for hundreds for owners, including Gordon, GA-based Sellers Construction Company.

“Ritchie Bros. does an excellent job marketing and finding the right market for every machine,” said Rader Sellers, President and Owner of Sellers Construction Company. “We've bought and sold in Orlando several times over the years. What I like about Ritchie is they sell quality equipment. I can get accurate and timely info about the equipment online, along with maintenance records and owner history. No one knows equipment and equipment values like Ritchie Bros.”
