 Customers were able to operate the machine to see and feel the machine control in action as well as learn about Komatsu’s Tier IV Final engine technology, KOMTRAX machine monitoring system, and Komatsu’s Tier IV PM maintenance program, Komatsu CARE.

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. held a customer demo event on May 9 at the Extreme Sandbox in Hastings, Minn., to showcase the newly introduced Komatsu PC490LCi-11. This intelligent machine features Komatsu's machine control and guidance system, fully factory integrated with the other qualities of the standard Komatsu PC490LC-11 excavator.

The exclusive control function allows contractors to move material efficiently, without having to worry about digging too deep or damaging the target surface. From rough digging to finish grading, the PC490LCi-11 excavator improves efficiency and precision.

Customers were able to operate the machine to see and feel the machine control in action as well as learn about Komatsu's Tier IV Final engine technology, KOMTRAX machine monitoring system, and Komatsu's Tier IV PM maintenance program, Komatsu CARE. The PC490LCi-11 is the latest Komatsu intelligent machine to be released, which follows the PC210LCi-10 excavator, and the intelligent dozer models D39, D51, D61, D65 and D155.
