Construction Equipment Guide

Having just finished an event in Salt Lake City, The Road Connection team gears up for the next leg of their nationwide tour. The truck heads east towards Charlotte, N.C. for the World of Asphalt/Agg1 trade show in hopes of increasing awareness of the challenges facing the U.S. Highway System.

The World of Asphalt is one of the largest trade shows focusing on the asphalt industry in the country, and expects to see more than 300 unique exhibitors, with more than 6,000 attendees. The Agg1 Aggregates Forum and Expo (Agg1) focuses exclusively on the aggregates industry, and is produced by the Association of Equipment Manufacturer (AEM), and owned by The National Stone, Sand, and Gravel Association (NSSGA). Agg1 is held in conjunction with The World of Asphalt Show.

The Road Connection truck will be on display inside the Charlotte Convention Center at booth 2299B. In addition to speaking with attendees about the need for federal road and infrastructure funding, The Road Connection Booth will feature an interactive kiosk, on which attendees will be able to contact their congressional members directly from the trade show floor.

The primary goal of this non-partisan, grassroots tour across the country is to urge lawmakers to take positive action by passing a long-term, comprehensive, federal highway bill. The Road Connection hopes to educate, discuss, and garner the support of those present at the 2012 World of Asphalt/Agg1 trade show.
