Dry disc brakes on both wheels, hydraulic braking and a parking brake are designed to provide control during operation.

The RP-190e paver can be equipped with either a front-mounted or rear-mounted screed. The EZ-IV Screed from Carlson is front-mounted and features electrically heated vibratory screed plates and extensions. The tapered shape of the Carlson main screed plate is designed so that material is moved toward the outside for a uniform mat, whether extensions are in or out.

The paver features the MOBA-matic II system for grade and slope leveling. This modular system offers a choice of sensors, depending upon the application. It is designed to achieve a high planarity during asphalt paving. The MOBA-matic II system uses four main buttons to control all functions, as well as the height and slope of the paver screed adjustments.

The RP-190e paver comes equipped the PAVE-IR system from MOBA, which is said to help improve mat quality control during asphalt paving operations. The system is mounted on the paver and scans back and forth across the entire paving width of up to 13 yds. (12 m) to measure the temperature of the asphalt at up to 61 measurement points. Data on the thermal image of the mat is then displayed on a screen in real time for the operator to see if irregularities occur, as well as recorded for documentation and later analysis if required.

Seats of the dual operator stations on the RP-190 can move out beyond the sides of the machine to give the operator a view down the sides of the machine. The fully adjustable operator seats feature a ride control tension system for comfort.
