Roland, LeeBoy Drag Race Honors Co-Worker’s Memory

Over 160 lucky customers got to spend a day at the races courtesy of the two companies.

Roland Machinery and LeeBoy treated more than 160 customers to a day at the ADRL Gateway Drags II event on June 15. The race took place at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Ill.

The race was dedicated to the memory of Bill Mitchell who served more than 30 years in the construction industry in St Louis, Mo., 23 of those years of which were spent working with Roland Machinery, where he was the general manager.

Quain Scott, who rode the LeeBoy Equipment Pro Extreme Corvette in the drag race, and Roland Machinery put a sticker on the back fender to give tribute to Mitchell, who passed away in June, 2012.

Scott qualified 4th with 3.707 seconds at 204.26 mph then lost in the third round of the finals. In the standings Scott is currently in 3rd place only 109 points out of first place.
