ROMCO’s latest product acquisition became official on Nov. 29, when Scott Carnell (L), president of Atlas Copco, Robert Mullins, CEO of ROMCO, met in Carrollton, Texas, to sign the agreement. The ceremony also served to reveal plans for ROMCO’s new corporate headquarters in Carrollton, Texas.
Progress is being made on ROMCO’s new facility, which will feature 12,785 sq. ft. (1,187.8 sq m) of office space; 7,990 sq. ft. (742.3 sq m) of warehouse space; and 13,063 sq. ft. (1,213.5 sq m) of shop space.

Atlas Copco has inked a deal with Texas distributor, ROMCO Power Systems (RPS) to carry its line of power products, including compressors, generators and light towers. RPS is a division of ROMCO Equipment Co., specializing in engines, pumps and power generation.

ROMCO's latest product acquisition became official on Nov. 29, when Scott Carnell, president of Atlas Copco, Robert Mullins, CEO of ROMCO, and other company representatives met in Carrollton, Texas, to sign the agreement.

“In order to more fully serve our customers, we have joined Atlas Copco to fulfill the power needs of our RPS division,” said Mullins.

ROMCO is a family-owned business that has been serving Texas since 1961. Currently, the company has nine locations throughout the state, serving customers in the construction, mining, paving, and aggregate industries.

In addition to RPS, the company provides sales, rentals parts and service in its other divisions including ROMCO Equipment Co.; ROMCO Paving; and Material Processing Systems (MPS).

The ceremony also served to reveal plans for ROMCO's new corporate headquarters.

As the company grows, so does the need for more space. To meet the needs of the company's customers as well as its employees, ROMCO is in the process of building a new facility on 8.8 acres of land located at 1519 W. Belt Line Road, Carrollton, Texas 75006. Currently, ROMCO has 60 employees at its present headquarters in Dallas, and 245 statewide.

“After 53 years at our current location, it was obvious we had outgrown our facilities,” said Mullins. “We felt it was time for a clean sheet design to better serve our North Texas customers.”

Due to open in the summer of 2017, the new headquarters features 12,785 sq. ft. (1,187.8 sq m) of office space; 7,990 sq. ft. (742.3 sq m) of warehouse space; and 13,063 sq. ft. (1,213.5 sq m) of shop space. The new facility will handle the entire product line represented by ROMCO as well as Atlas Copco's power products.
