West Side Tractor Sales announced that Ryan Stumph has been awarded the Territory Champion of the John Deere Technicians of the Year Award. He is one of 59 John Deere technicians being recognized across all John Deere construction and Ag/turf dealerships in the United States.

Since joining West Side Tractor in 2017, Stumph has consistently demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, dedication to customer service and a passion for his work in the field, setting a high standard in the industry.

Stumph holds certifications in more than 20 John Deere products and serves as a key field technician, providing vital support to customers across the region. He participates in ongoing product training — even taking the lead on creating the curriculum and delivering a 1-day training session to his peers — and is always willing to learn something new. His commitment to ensuring equipment uptime and rapid problem resolution has earned him a stellar reputation among customers.

"We couldn't be more thrilled for Ryan to receive this recognition," said Steve Deller, vice president of product support of West Side Tractor. "His technical expertise, combined with his dedication to building lasting relationships with customers, is truly outstanding. Ryan embodies the work ethic and values we strive for at West Side Tractor, and this award is a testament to his hard work."

Stumph's approach to customer service goes beyond just fixing problems. His dedication to preventing equipment downtime and providing thorough inspections has earned him the trust of his customers.

"I do whatever I can to ensure the customer is taken care of and production is not lost. I often work late or on weekends to keep our customers' operations running smoothly," said Stumph.

His meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving abilities have been key to his success, according to the company.

John Deere customers frequently commend Stumph for his exceptional service, noting his reliability, work ethic and communication.

"Ryan is always a joy to be around and goes above and beyond with any task. He is meticulous and ensures we understand every step of the process, minimizing our downtime," said one long-term customer.

Another customer said, "Ryan always makes sure we understand what he's doing to solve our issues as well as making sure our ‘down time' is low because we know we're being taken care of with good workmanship and honesty. He is loyal to West Side Tractor as well as the customers. Ryan gets a 5-star rating from us."

Beyond his technical achievements, Stumph also is an active member of his community, volunteering with Tree Lafayette to plant and maintain trees within the city. His contributions reflect the same dedication and care he brings to his work.

"I enjoy the problem-solving aspect of being a technician," Stumph said. "It's rewarding to figure out the root cause of an issue and get our customers back up and running. It's also great to see how much they appreciate the effort, even when the job starts on a tough note."
