A variety of trucks were available for sale. Rob Lodge (L), owner of Lodge Earthworks LLC, Windsor, Conn., and Richard Roulston, owner of Roulston Services LLC, Windsor Locks, Conn., examine this dozer. Bobby Bimentel (L) of Bergdoll Construction, Longmeadow, Mass., and Mike Bergdoll, owner of Bergdoll Construction, are interested in this Volvo motorgrader. James Guarino (L), Northeast regional manager of Smart Business Credit, and Dean Schettino, loan officer of Smart Business Credit, located in Downingtown, Pa., were on hand to help customers with financing needs. Three generations of the Dubois family — (L-R) Dawson, Marcel and Rick — of Livestock & Excavating Inc., Arundel, Maine, attend the auction looking for deals. The sale featured a nice inventory of mini-excavators and skid steers with attachments, such as this Kubota KX 71-3 mini-excavator with hydraulic excavator attachment. The crowd swarmed in to bid on the excavators. This Komatsu sold for $190,000. The sale featured a nice selection of loaders, one of which was the Volvo L120F that sold for $124K. Sales Auction Company has two trucks that operate simultaneously throughout the sale to track online bids coming in at the same time as the ground bidders. The crowd gathers to start bidding on the next items up for sale.

On June 17, Sales Auction Company hosted its first ever off-site, one-owner liquidation sale at JDC Enterprise in South Windsor, Conn.

The crew worked around the clock to clear land and make room for the company's massive fleet of equipment, which included dozers, excavators, loaders, work trucks, skid steers, attachments, screeners, cranes, grading and paving equipment and more.

Sales Auction Company had two trucks working simultaneously in the yard, allowing the auction to move at a quick, steady pace.

The sale attracted 471 registered onsite bidders and 290 online bidders and grossed $2.8 million.

Some of the highlighted items include:

• 2006 Cat D5G XL dozer with 980 hours for $62,000 — sold online via Proxibid to a buyer in Australia

• 2012 Volvo L120F wheel loader with 1200 hours — sold for $124,000

• 2015 Komatsu PC 360 LC-10 excavator with 450 hours — sold for $190,000

Sales Auction Company is planning for another sale on Oct. 7 at its main location in Windsor Locks, Conn.
