SANY America has named Tar Heel Machinery its excavator dealer in North Carolina.

“Tar Heel Machinery has built its business reputation on trust and long-term relationships,” said Eric Teague, vice president of earthmoving of SANY America. “We find them a good match for our vision to provide the best excavators and service to our customers.”

Tar Heel Machinery, founded in 2005 by Penn McMichael and Scott Woody, has locations in Charlotte, Raleigh and Reidsville, N.C. The company sells, rents and services heavy equipment, including excavators, articulated haulers, crawler carriers, wheel loaders and crawler dozers.

“Tar Heel Machinery is excited to represent SANY in North Carolina,” McMichael said. “We are proud to be able to offer our customers a quality excavator with a Cummins engine, strong hydraulics and a three-year warranty at an affordable price.”

“SANY has made a long-term commitment to be a major equipment provider in the U.S. market,” Woody said. “SANY is here to stay. We believe in the SANY line enough to put the Tar Heel Machinery name on it.”

SANY America’s excavator offerings include the 7.5-ton (6.8 t) SY75C, the 13.5-ton (12.2 t) SY135C, the 21.5-ton (19.5 t) SY215C and the 23.5-ton (21.3 t) SY235C. Additional models will be introduced in North America in the coming year. SANY excavators feature low overall owner operating costs, ease of operation, low operating noise and solid excavator performance.

Teague said the appointment of Tar Heel Machinery is part of an aggressive expansion of the SANY America excavator dealer network, which has doubled in size since mid-2012. “We will continue to grow with strong partners like Tar Heel Machinery,” he said.
