Southeastern Equipment Company held Paving Seminars at three of its 19 branches March 1 to 3. The seminars kicked off at Southeastern Equipment Company’s headquarters and training facility in Cambridge, Ohio, on March 1 and moved on to the Columbus Branch in Dublin, Ohio, the next day. The seminars finished up at the Indianapolis branch on March 3. Each of the events drew approximately 90 contractors and municipal officials from the service areas of each branch.

The seminars were designed as an educational event focusing on best practices, techniques and new technologies. Each event opened with a talk on street sweepers by Superior Brooms Vice President Tom McBride and covered such topics as maintenance and safety issues.

The seminars, split into morning and afternoon sessions, featured a presentation by Dean Kruger of Etnyre on asphalt distributors and chip spreaders with an emphasis on application, maintenance and safety. Terex Road Building’s Bill Rieken discussed paving technologies and applications.

Bomag’s National Accounts Manager Chuck Deahl closed out each seminar with an analysis on the different types of rollers and their applications in compaction.
