Southeastern Equipment Co. Inc. rounded out its series of open house events in celebration of the dealership's 60th anniversary with events at its Novi, Mich., branch in September and an October event at the dealership's headquarters location in Cambridge, Ohio. In all, the dealership held a total of six events at its branch locations.

In addition to having the opportunity to catch up with their local Southeastern Equipment Company sales representatives and service technicians, attendees at the events had an opportunity to meet with factory representatives from a number of the dealership's equipment lines, including Bomag, Case, Etnyre, KM International, Kobelco, Kubota, Road Widener LLC and Terex Trucks. Attendees also received door prizes and were treated to a hearty lunch at each of the events.

Southeastern Equipment Company was founded in 1957 by Bill Bakers to market motorgrader blades to counties and municipalities in Ohio. Within a year, Baker secured the franchise agreement from Adam Motor Grader Company and soon after added J.I. Case to the company's authorized equipment line.

Originally named for the dealership's market area of southeastern Ohio, with branch locations now spanning Ohio, Indiana and Michigan, the company may have outgrown its name in terms of market area, but has never strayed from its goal of providing top performing equipment backed by outstanding service and support. The company has developed into a full-line dealer offering sales and service of new and used equipment along with support products geared toward the aggregate, agriculture, construction, industrial, landscape, municipal and utilities markets.

Southeastern Equipment Company employs more than 200 associates and maintains 18 branch locations strategically situated in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan.
