The McHenry Avenue Corridor Improvements project consists of the replacement of an existing two lane bridge that spans the Stanislaus River with a new 1,138 ft. (347 m), 78.5-ft. (24 m)-wide, five-frame bridge with 17,000 linear ft. (5,182 m) of stone column ground improvements.

Sterling Construction Company Inc. announced that Myers & Sons Construction is the apparent low bidder on a $21.9 million bridge project in Stockton, Calif. The McHenry Avenue Corridor Improvements project consists of the replacement of an existing two lane bridge that spans the Stanislaus River with a new 1,138 ft. (347 m), 78.5-ft. (24 m)-wide, five-frame bridge with 17,000 linear ft. (5,182 m) of stone column ground improvements. The project is scheduled to begin in April 2017, and is expected to be completed by mid-2020.

Paul J. Varello, Sterling's chief executive officer, commented, “We are pleased to have been selected by the County of San Joaquin to replace the existing bridge on McHenry Avenue.
