The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) welcomed Steven Shivak as director of membership. Shivak brings more than 15 years of experience implementing strategies that have increased member satisfaction, acquisition, and retention.

In this new position, Shivak will be responsible for increasing member engagement and demonstrating the value of membership in NAPA, a 501(c)(6) trade association serving the asphalt pavement mixture production industry.

"I am pleased to have Steve join us to enrich our engagement with members and grow NAPA's membership. Steve comes highly recommended by his colleagues and peers, and I believe his passion for membership, talent, and skillset will all benefit a national organization like NAPA," said Audrey Copeland, NAPA president and CEO. "NAPA's members are our lifeblood. As an association, we exist to protect their interests, to foster advancement and innovation, and to serve their needs for knowledge, education, and insight."

Prior to joining NAPA, Shivak served as president of the SMC Business Councils, a statewide trade association representing small businesses in Pennsylvania as well as vice president of membership and operations of the Pittsburgh Technology Council. At the national level, Shivak has worked for the American Productivity and Quality Center (APQC), the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International).

"I am pleased to be joining NAPA. The opportunity to be a resource for our members and to provide connections, best practices and solutions is very exciting," Shivak said.
