The Associated General Contractors of New Jersey (AGC of N.J.) recently announced the addition of Susan Connolly, executive vice president and COO, of Foley Incorporated, to its board of trustees as an associate member representative.

The AGC of N.J. is a statewide association of general and specialty contractors involved in heavy and highway construction, site development and utility contracting on public and private projects. They are one of 96 state chapters all belonging to Associated General Contractors of America, the largest national construction association in the nation. AGC of N.J. was chartered in May 1936 by a handful of progressive highway contractors who had the foresight to realize that only in unity could they meet the challenges that lay ahead.

At its June board of trustees meeting, the board unanimously approved the following members to serve as new trustees: Bruce Junge of Beaver Concrete Construction, David Earp of Walker Diving and Edwin V. Apel Jr. of Weeks Marine. The associate members of the AGC of N.J. also held its annual associate members election to choose who will represent the associate members. Chris Davis of CTS Cement and Susan Connolly of Foley Inc. were selected by their peers. They will be joining Frank LoRe of La Farge and Rick Workman of Taylor Oil as the Associate representatives.

Having joined Foley in 1974, Connolly’s career has spanned the entire organization. Before being promoted to executive vice president and chief operating officer in 2000, she successfully managed several other areas of the company, such as credit, parts, financial services, general manager of Foley Lift Company, vice president of Foley Lift Company and Foley Power Systems.
