Takeuchi-US has added two compact wheel loaders to its lineup with the introduction of the TW65 SERIES 2 and TW80 SERIES 2. Equipped with EPA Final Tier IV engines, the new wheel loaders deliver increased performance, improved serviceability, and an enhanced deluxe operator’s cabin for superior operator comfort. The compact design allows these loaders to easily maneuver in tight spaces with minimal damage to lawns, pavement, and other sensitive surface areas, according to the manufacturer.

The two loaders provide reach and dump heights up to 8 ft. 6 in. (2.6 m) for trouble-free material handling. The TW65 SERIES 2 features an operating weight of 11,354 lbs. (5,150 kg), rated operating capacity of 4,050 lbs. (1,837 kg), tipping load of 9,171 lbs. (4,160 kg), and a bucket breakout force of 11,600 lbs.

With an operating weight of 12,700 lbs. (5,760 kg), the TW80 SERIES 2 has a rated operating capacity of 4,445 lbs. (6,061 kg), tipping load of 12,700 lbs. and a bucket breakout force of 13,960 lbs.

Delivering power and precise control, both loaders are equipped with a turbocharged, water-cooled Deutz engine. Operating with a maximum torque of 192 ft.-lb. at 1,800 rpm, the engine delivers 73 hp with a rated engine speed of 2,200 rpm.

The standard travel speed has a high range of 12.4 mph but both machines are available with a high-speed road gear option that delivers a maximum speed of 24.8 mph. The high-speed road gear system also includes a ride control accumulator to help maintain machine control at higher travel speeds.

Other features include a new multi-function, pilot operated joystick control that not only controls all loader and travel functions, it now includes a thumb wheel to control auxiliary hydraulics. For additional attachment versatility, an optional high-flow auxiliary system is available that delivers up to 26 gal. (98 Lpm) per minute to power the attachment.

Featuring an improved cab in both performance and comfort, the TW65 SERIES 2 and TW80 SERIES 2 are equipped with air conditioning and heat, adjustable armrest and controller position, as well as convenient storage compartments for the operator. For improved performance, the automotive-styled interior design also features a frameless door for enhanced visibility, easy to operate function switches, inching pedal for precise machine control and precision pilot controls.

“The new Takeuchi models represent some of the most advanced loaders available in the marketplace, and operators will notice a big difference, not only in performance, but also in the comfort of the cab,” said David Steger, national product and training manager of Takeuchi-US. “We are very excited about the release of these loaders and know that these machines will get the job done, while delivering outstanding performance, serviceability and value.”
