Takeuchi Hires New South Region Manager

Takeuchi-US, a global leader in compact equipment, has hired Shane Sirmons as the new south region manager, effective immediately. In this role, he will be responsible for all the sales development and activity within Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi.

As the region manager, Sirmons' main responsibility is to achieve region market share objectives through dealer activities such as development, recruitment, goal setting, sales planning and performance evaluations. His other areas of focus will include inventory control, forecasting, program promotion and communication, national and direct rental account support.

“I am proud to be representing a product line as well respected as Takeuchi is here in the U.S. and I look forward to contributing and working here,” said Sirmons. “The team has an extensive amount of experience and I will gain a great deal of knowledge working with these industry leaders.”

With more than 18 years of construction and rental industry experience, Sirmons has worked for manufacturers and rental houses throughout his career. Most recently, he was a district sales manager of Manitou Americas since 2014.

“We are excited to bring Shane aboard here at Takeuchi with a proven track record throughout his career,” said Kim Robinson, director of sales at Takeuchi. “Shane has a great deal of experience with construction manufacturers who offer similar machines as we do, so it should be an easy transition. We have no doubt he will be successful in this role.”
