Telsmith Inc., a manufacturer of mineral processing equipment, hosted an Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) sponsored pancake and policy tour on Oc. 28, 2019, by inviting AEM members to come in and speak to Telsmith employees about the "I Make America" campaign to discuss the issues that are impacting the manufacturing industry.
"We are proud to be a member of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, and thrilled to be hosting an I Make America Pancakes & Policy event," said Matt Haven, president, Telsmith Inc. "Grassroots programs like this help equipment manufacturers here in Wisconsin and across the country to advocate for pro-manufacturing policies that affect the entire industry and jobs right here at home. This is a great opportunity for our employees to learn more about our industry and its impact on the economy."
The day started with a pancake lunch and then speeches from a few AEM members discussing trade/tariffs, infrastructure and workforce development. During these speeches, AEM members also offered trivia questions with an opportunity for employees to win prizes. The tour ended with a Q&A session, factory tour, and also an option to sign up for I Make America.
