Telsmith Inc., an Astec company, hosted more than 750 guests at its recent 100th anniversary event, which highlighted the company’s century of service to the aggregate and mining industry, as well as its contribution to Wisconsin’s economic growth.
Wisconsin State Senator Alberta Darling presented a plaque to Telsmith President Rick Patek, and Wisconsin Department of Commerce Secretary Mary Burke addressed Telsmith’s contribution to economic growth, particularly in the area of international trade, as Telsmith is on the state’s top Latin American exporters.
Held in conjunction with the Astec Aggregate and Mining Group International Conference, the celebration honored veteran employees, retirees, and corporate leaders.
Keynote speakers included Astec CEO J. Don Brock and past Telsmith President Bob Stafford, who recently retired from his position as Astec Group vice president — Aggregate and Mining.
Since 1906, Telsmith has built its reputation as a processing equipment provider.
The company earned its ISO 9001 certification in 1994, and is included as one of a number of companies comprising the Astec Aggregate and Mining Group. Telsmith International Headquarters, with its 217,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility, is located in Mequon, WI (near Milwaukee).
