More than 50 Terex Bid-Well customers have been trained over two weeks at the annual Terex Bid-Well service school, which took place April in Canton, S.D.
Since 1961, Terex Bid-Well has been an industry leader in the development and manufacture of a complete line of versatile and specialized concrete paving machines for the bridge and highway construction market. The annual training school, held over two days, is hosted by the experienced Terex Bid-Well service department.
Christal Dietzenbach, site director of Terex Bid-Well said, “When you buy a Bid-Well you are backed by the experience, service and support of the industry leader. Our number one priority is to ensure that our customer's project is successful by training them to properly set up and utilize their equipment.”
The first day consisted of classroom work topics, including machine setup and paving procedures, bridge paving, street and airport paving, thin bonded overlays, texture cure applications and special applications, for example canals and slope paving. Day two was highlighted by a hands-on machine setup and concrete pour. During the hands-on session, the Terex Bid-Well service department gave customers time-saving tips and tricks to get the most out of their Terex Bid-Well paving equipment. While paving a 30- by 65-ft. concrete slab, students were shown proper techniques and how to make adjustments to achieve a uniform and consistent finish.
