Construction Equipment Guide

The Terex Cedarapids MVP450X cone crusher boasts numerous features that increase the machine’s productivity and ease of use. Major new enhancements include high speed clearing of jammed material; quick crusher separation capability for faster manganese changes; easy to operate computer controls — the optional “Guardian” PLC control system optimizes production and is fully automated.

The new 400 hp (298 kW) MVP450X incorporates pinned cylinder ends that remove quickly to allow fast cone separation, which results in faster manganese changes, reducing downtime. At the press of a button, fully guided dual action tramp relief cylinders provide 6 in. (15.2 cm) lift for easy clearing of jammed feed material to reduce downtime and increase productivity, according to the manufacturer.

The hydro-pneumatic tramp iron relief system instantly resets the crusher setting after passing uncrushable material without having to activate valves and pumps. A high flow manifold system with five accumulators provides redundant cylinder protection.

The hydraulic powered threaded upper assembly allows for quick crusher setting adjustment under load and computer optimized main frame components are high endurance, all-cast construction. The new cone head is 4 times stronger for longer life and the ElJay Rollercone roller bearing design provides high efficiency, according to the manufacturer.
