Construction Equipment Guide

The new Terex/CMI CB2003 paver from Terex Roadbuilding marks the company’s reentry in the barrier, curb and gutter market.

With a wide variety of available profile inserts — quickly changed without removing the entire hopper and auger assembly — this paver can be used for projects ranging from curb, gutter and sidewalks to cart paths and parapet walls.

With a 133-hp (99.2 kW) diesel engine and weighing in at approximately 25,000 lb. (11,339 kg), the CB2003 also has the power and weight to construct high-quality median barriers.

With all-track steering, contractors swing the paver’s legs into position, rather than shifting the legs.

The low-profile design delivers safe operation, even on irregular terrain.

A narrow transport width enables the CB2003 to be quickly moved without disassembly, saving contractors time and money.

Three-point elevation control — legs, frame and side kits — enables operators to quickly lift the mold from completed work without disassembly.

The CB2003’s self-storing trimmer raises up to 8 in. (20 cm) above work zone, eliminating the time necessary for removal.

The operator is positioned in the middle of the CB2003 for unobstructed, 360-degree visibility. This feature allows the operator to check concrete level in the hopper and inspect the final product quality coming out of the mold without leaving the platform.
