Terex Cranes will be exhibiting two boom truck cranes on Booth N L 316 at the International Construction and Utility Equipment Exposition 2011 (ICUEE), to be held from Oct. 4 to 6 at the Kentucky Exhibition Center, Louisville, Ky.

The company’s presence will be highlighted by the unveiling of the new Terex Crossover 4500, a 45 ton (41 t) capacity class boom truck, as well as the Terex Crossover 6000 that was launched at ConExpo earlier this year.

Well-matched to a broad field of applications, the new Terex Crossover 4500 boom truck offers a 360 degree main boom load chart. Featuring a 105-ft. (32 m), four-section boom with optional 39 to 49 ft. (11.9 to 14.9 m) lattice jib extensions, this new model lifts up to 45 tons (40.8 t) at a 9-ft. (2.7 m) radius. Maximum main boom tip height is 110 ft. (33.5 m) for a maximum sheave height of 155 ft. (47.2 m) with 49-ft. (14.9 m) jib.

Due to the company’s X-pattern outrigger design, center of gravity is repositioned to reduce stress on the chassis for increased longevity. Maximum precision and ease of operation is enhanced through a joystick controlling hoist, swing and boom elevation, a pedal operating swing brake and boom telescoping, and hand and pedal controls for engine rpm management. A rated capacity limiter with pictograph display and settable alarms offers simple work area definition.

About the Terex Crossover 6000

Easily configurable for road transport in all 50 states, the Terex Crossover 6000 boom truck offers a 110 ft. maximum boom length and 170 ft. (51.6 m) maximum system length. Its maximum lifting capacity is 60 tons (54 t).
