The Terex 330 auger drill, with 52,588 ft.-lb. of drill torque and drill depths up to 20 ft. (6 m) with pole setting capabilities, features a newly redesigned control console, mast mounted service winch and rotating operator’s platform. The 330’s enhanced design offers enhanced drilling capability and mobility for powerful performance and productivity, according to the manufacturer.

The updated Terex 330 drill control console includes dual-function joystick controls, as well as a full digital instrument panel and hour meter. The control console is designed with trigger-enabled joysticks for more ergonomic operator capabilities and functional control than previous models. Controls are full hydraulic pilot valves providing variable control of each function on the drill. The display console on the 330 auger drill is located next to the operator for easy line of sight, and the display is backlit for night operation. The display includes a push button monitoring of engine functions and transmission temperatures, as well as alerts and shutdown limits set for each system.

The redesigned mast mounted service winch on the Terex 330 auger drill is built tough and allows for smooth and efficient operation. The system includes a 5,000-lb. (2,268 kg) line pull service winch located at the base of the mast, and a shackle attachment allows one to drag poles to the unit without side loading the mast. Its design provides enhanced lifting capacity for pole setting operations, as well as allows operators to quickly raise the mast without having to payout winch cable.

The rotating operator’s platform on this updated Terex 330 drill provides a more ergonomic work station and greater work zone visibility than its predecessor, according to the manufacturer. The updated platform rotates up to 100 degrees and has been enlarged to increase leg room and operator comfort. This setup eliminates manual rotation of the operator seat, as well as offers easy access to the platform.

The Terex 330 auger drill is designed to mount on a 108-in. or 120-in. (274 or 305 cm) cab-to-rear-axle (CA) tandem axle chassis and comes with A-frame outriggers for stability on off-road applications.
