Construction Equipment Guide

The Terramite T9 compact tractor loader backhoe is the larger version of the company’s T5C. This machine is bigger and more powerful than the T5C, but it still works in areas inaccessible to big machines.

The backhoe digs a deep 3 meters (10 ft.) and has 3.8-centimeter (1.5 in.) pins with bushings and 7.6-centimeter (3 in.) cylinders for heavy-duty work. The loader lifts 1,043 kilograms (2,300 lbs.) up to 259 centimeters (102 in.) with large 6.4-centimeter (2.5 in.) cylinders. A new style front curl cylinder system increases breakout to 2,767 kilograms (6,100 lbs.). The combination of larger backhoe and loader powered by a 23-kilowatt (31.5 hp) diesel engine lets the T9 owner do many jobs that used to require “big machines.”

The T9 has a quick-attach rear bucket option that lets the operator change buckets and other implements in seconds. The optional four-wheel drive lets the machine work in low traction conditions with ease. This four-wheel drive system is a full-time all hydraulic unit. The 4-in-1 front bucket option enables the front loader to scrape, load, carry and grab. These attachments add to the flexibility and utilization of the T9.

Besides being strong and versatile, the T9 is extremely durable. The T9 is an easy machine to service and maintain. All of the parts are easily accessed and any part can be removed in minutes.
