The Texas Asphalt Pavement Association held an open house for its newly expanded facilities in Buda, Texas, on June 6. About 150 paving industry personnel attended the event.

The organization recently purchased a building adjacent to its existing headquarters just off I-35 south of Austin. The building was totally renovated to accommodate TXAPA's administrative offices. The original building also underwent a renovation, adding significant classroom and lab space to its training and certification facility, according to Emily Adams, spokesperson of the trade organization.

"The goal of the expansion is to keep pace with the demand for training and education in the asphalt pavement industry and to serve TXAPA's members and industry partners to the highest possible standard," Adams said.

The expansion gives TXAPA a total of 25,500 sq. ft. of space for certification, training and administrative functions.
