After a five-year long planning process, Inspira Health Network broke ground on the new Inspira Medical Center in Mullica Hill, N.J., in May 2017.

Over the last year, several union trades have been working together to build the facility, located just east of the intersection of Route 322 and Route 55 in Gloucester County. Upon completion, it will feature 204 all private patient rooms; a comprehensive cancer program; a pediatric emergency department with adjacent inpatient unity; home-like birthing suites; enhanced Smart Room technology; and more to provide optimal care to residents near and far.

Constructed by Skanska USA, the five-story building is expected to open in late 2019, and the hospital is expected to serve as an anchor for business growth in the region.

As a provider of cranes in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, Thackray Crane Rental Inc. has been contracted to assist with erecting the new hospital, proving once again that no job is too large for the family-owned and operated business.

With an American 9530, 220-ton lattice boom crane, Thackray Crane Rental Inc. began construction on the large new medical facility, which will stretch more than 467,000 sq. ft. across 100 acres. The $349 million facility is anticipated to employ roughly 1,400 doctors, nurses, medical professionals, administrative and support staff.

Now that the erection of the last steel beam has been completed with the support of Thackray Crane Rental's crane, the next phase is to begin construction of the exterior façade; subsequently, the interior phase of the project will commence thereafter.

Since 1947, Thackray Crane Rental Inc. has been a supplier of crane rental equipment in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
