The Alabama Associated General Contractors gathered in Sandestin, Fla., for its 41st Annual Convention.

The three-day event provided a platform for more than 400 attendees to network with industry leaders and discuss construction-related legislation. The special legislative panel featured Christina McInnis, candidate for Alabama commissioner of agriculture and industries, and Katherine Robertson, candidate for Alabama attorney general.

Guests also were briefed on a legislative update by Trace Zarr, the association's director of government relations. Todd Roberts, national president of AGC America from the Mississippi Valley chapter, delivered key industry insights and emphasized Alabama AGC's endeavors to expand and strengthen the industry.

"We so appreciate our Alabama AGC family and the support they show at this event every year," said Billy Norrell, CEO of Alabama AGC. "We are welcoming the next generation of leaders to Alabama AGC and the industry as young families attend in record numbers, bringing their children to experience the AGC way of doing things. Nobody can compete with the family atmosphere we provide for our membership."

Guests were invited to participate in the convention's vendor fair, which focused on industry support and knowledge. Members and their families had the chance to enjoy downtime with a golf tournament, kid's crab hunt and time on the beach.
