Continuing their 60th anniversary celebration, Thompson Machinery’s staff held a huge open house event on Thursday, Sept. 23, at the company’s branch store in Memphis, TN.
More than 500 guests and friends joined in on the festivities and got to “chow down” on catfish, hush puppies and freedom fries.
The day’s events included tours of the various facilities and machine displays. A seemingly never-ending stream of door prizes and giveaways were announced throughout the day.
Thompson Machinery’s open house included a demo area where customers could try out the new computer controlled Accugrade system on a D5G dozer. Customers also were able to try out some of the other Cat machines in the dirt.
The company brought in one of the No. 22 Cat Nascar ACERT racecars, which became a huge draw for the Advanced Combustion Emissions Reduction Technology (ACERT) display, a rolling exhibit of the newest Caterpillar technology for engine emissions reduction.
Representatives of Caterpillar, as well as other local dignitaries, turned out to show their support for another decade of tremendous growth at Thompson Machinery.
