JM Wood Auction held its 45th annual three-day fall auction Sept. 18 to 20 at its facility in Montgomery, Ala. The auction presented a lineup of construction equipment, trucks, trailers and forestry equipment.

Highlights included a group of 2018 Mack GU713 and 2018 Kenworth T800 dump trucks from several Alabama counties, as well as 2015 Cat 336FLs from a pipeline contractor who was updating his fleet.

Featured sellers included Alabama Power Company, Kellog Brown and Root, Flint Companies and numerous government agencies from across the Southeast.

Gross sales totaled $35.8 million, including $9 million in online sales. Online or online backup bidders accounted for 45 percent of the purchases.

"Prices were strong all three days," said JM Wood President Bryant Wood. "The Internet was pretty active, and attendance was also high. These guys are busy and they know where to come for equipment that is ready to go to work."

The next multiday sale at JM Wood's auction facility in Montgomery is scheduled for Dec. 5 to 6.

A selection of Cat, Komatsu, Deere and Volvo wheel loaders was available at the auction.
