A time-lapse video spanning eight years shows the construction of portions of the Flight 93 National Memorial, as well as the site's Tower of Voices, located in Shanksville, Pa.

The video by EarthCam uses more than 275,000 images to document eight years' worth of progress of the projects that make up the memorial, TribLive reported.

A dedication ceremony was held for the Tower of Voices on Sept. 9 as it moves into its final phase of construction, almost exactly one year after its groundbreaking ceremony. This portion of the memorial will use the melodic sound of 40 wind chimes to remember the 40 passengers and crew members who fought to regain control of United Airlines Flight 93 from terrorists on Sept. 11, 2001 before it crashed in a field.
