Topcon Makes Initial Purchase of Finnish Software Company

Topcon Positioning Systems (TPS) has purchased a significant ownership interest in DynaRoad Oy, a software company located in Helsinki, Finland.

DynaRoad develops project management software for civil engineering and infrastructure construction.

Ivan Di Federico, TPS chief strategy officer, said, “Contractors and designers use DynaRoad products and services to save time and money by optimizing and controlling the production of large and complicated earthworks projects. The DynaRoad solution combines mass haul optimization, location based scheduling and production control.”

Prior to the purchase agreement, DynaRoad and TPS worked together developing products for asset management, planning and scheduling.

Di Federico said, “DynaRoad technology is one of the key ingredients to creating solutions that truly optimize our customers’ workflow and productivity. This purchase agreement demonstrates that Topcon is dedicated to developing superior products and solutions for the marketplace.”

Founded in 2005 in Helsinki, Finland, DynaRoad Oy is a developer of software and services in project management for civil engineering and infrastructure construction such as highways, tunnels, railways, area development and harbors.
