The RT600 riding trencher is built to deliver smooth, consistent performance.

The Toro RT600 riding trencher is built to deliver smooth, consistent performance in tough digging conditions. The RT600 is the only trencher in its class using a flywheel, torsion shaft and planetary gear reduction system. The flywheel minimizes trencher stalls, the torsion shaft absorbs shock loads from the drive train, and the planetary gears multiply hydrostatic motor torque to provide increased trenching power.
The Toro RT600 is equipped with a 65-hp, Cummins B3.3 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine. The dual hydrostatic system provides optimal performance for trenching and plowing. The RT600 also features four-wheel steering for maneuverability and incorporates crab steering for improved handling on slopes, according to the manufacturer.
“The new RT600 is both powerful and versatile,” explained Josh Beddow, product marketing manager of Toro underground equipment. “The Toro-exclusive planetary gear reduction system delivers trenching productivity that you’d expect to see from a much larger machine.”
In addition to the heavy-duty trencher, optional backhoe loader, rock saw and vibratory plow attachments also are available. The unit also comes with a standard six-way backfill blade with ground-following float functionality. The operator platform is open for great visibility and the RT600 has a pivoting, suspended seat to ensure operator comfort for all day productivity.
