Trekker Tractor, a Case dealership in Florida, is the latest dealer to carry Chicago Pneumatic compressors, generators, hydraulic attachments and handheld breakers and hammers.

Efraim Vicente, vice president of operations of Trekker Tractor said, “At each of our locations [Miami, West Palm Beach, Ft. Myers and Tampa], you can find the complete line of Chicago Pneumatic products. Our customers can rely on us when they select their tools from this product line.”

Sam Silva, vice president of finance of Trekker Tractor, said the company plans to open an Orlando branch by the end of 2010, and Jacksonville and Tallahassee branches in the future. They will have both heavy and light equipment at the locations, tailored to meet local needs.

“We want our customers and potential customers to know we are a new company with a new philosophy that will service the needs of the markets. With local Florida ownership and managers who are active in the company, we will be able to change fast to meet the needs of each local market,” Silva said.

Among Trekker’s accomplishments is the establishment of Puerto Rico Wire, a Case/Kobelco dealer that has grown steadily since it opened in 1945. Today, it is the largest distributor of construction equipment in Puerto Rico, and the largest rental company in Latin America. It also developed an export business in 1995 when it began shipping machines from the United States to Latin America, a venture that led to opening several equipment dealerships.
