United Construction & Forestry (UCF) has formally announced the grand opening of its new location in Hermon, Maine, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Feb. 5, 2025.

The Hermon facility marks a milestone in UCF's mission to serve customers across seven counties in the greater Bangor, Maine, region.

"Our new Hermon facility is not just another equipment showroom; it's a showcase of our commitment to expanding project resources and next-level services to our customers in the construction and forestry industry," said Ron Davis, chief operating officer of United Ag & Turf (UAT) and UCF. "This location allows us to provide a larger inventory, faster service and broader rental options, helping our customers complete their projects more efficiently and effectively."

The new facility boasts a 40,000-sq.-ft. showroom with office space, along with 8,000 sq.-ft. of expanded storage located at 603 Coldbrook Road in Hermon. The expanded footprint and elevated ceiling house dual-independent, 15 ton overhead cranes, as well as a larger essential parts inventory. This setup enables the Hermon store to work on multiple large machines at once, minimizing customer wait times and enabling customers to get back to their projects faster.

The new Hermon location offers a diverse working line and rental fleet like compact excavators, skid steers, crushers and pavers from in-demand brands like John Deere, Wirtgen Group Products, Vogele, Wirtgen and Morbark Industrial. Backed by UCF's expert support teams, UCF Hermon serves as a one-stop destination for construction, forestry and paving job needs.

UCF's commitment to the Hermon community extends beyond superior service and products. The new location aims to generate new jobs, partnerships with local vendors and a positive impact on local non-profits via the company's strong commitment to community service. Location management is currently seeking to grow its technician team.

"We are proud to be expanding our footprint in the Hermon community as a part of this new venture," said Mark Kuhn, chief sales officer of UAT & UCF. "Our team looks forward to better serving the growing needs of the construction and forestry sectors by bringing unparalleled services to these customers, but also the chance to partner with a community that shares our vision for progress and opportunity."

"Today's ribbon-cutting marks a significant moment for our entire community," said Stephen Fields, town manager of Hermon. "We're proud to have United Construction & Forestry and their team integrated even more into the Hermon community, and look forward to seeing the positive impact this investment will have on our residents and businesses for years to come."
