Virnig Manufacturing Inc., a supplier of skid steer loader attachments and accessories for compact equipment, introduced a low profile snow pusher attachment for skid steer and track loaders.
The low profile snow pusher has been designed for more efficient and reliable performance in moving snow, flood wastewater, manure or other materials, according to the manufacturer.
These skid steer snow pushers are built with shorter side plates than the standard Virnig snow pusher, decreasing the overall height of the pusher to only 27.5 in. (70 cm). The lower attachment height provides greater visibility for operators. The strength of the side plates is significantly increased by angling the cross brace to the lower corners.
The design also features floating skid shoes along with side-to-side oscillation, which keeps the rubber edge in constant contact with the ground resulting in the removal of slippery, ice residue. The upper section features grated step plates to assist with getting in and out of the cab.
The Low Profile Snow Pushers are available in 7, 8, 9 and 10-ft. (2.1, 2.4, 2.7 and 3 m) sizes and feature 1-1/2 by 10 in. (3.8 by 25.4 cm) reversible, replaceable rubber cutting edges.
Optional Pull-Back kits also are available to give an operator the ability to draw snow away from buildings and cramped areas such as loading docks.
