Thu August 15, 2019 - Northeast Edition #17
CEG

On Aug. 7, 2019, customers of Woodco Machinery, Massachusetts' Volvo distributor, were given the opportunity to get a first-hand look at the Volvo Gold Rush excavator as it makes its way across North America. This closeup, hands-on chance to see this special machine was held in conjunction with a Woodco Machinery open house, which also offered a great lunch, special pricing on Volvo excavators and numerous customer appreciation door prizes.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the smash hit television series Gold Rush, Volvo constructed a special edition EC200E excavator. This machine has a custom gold paint job that took more than 140 hours to complete and features a special commemorative leather seat and the gold colored track pads make for a stunning visual effect. The excavator is being hauled to various Volvo distributor events across the United States with a brand-new Volvo VNX 740 8x4 tractor with a 70-in. sleeper and a black metallic paint job. The trailer that it rides on is a Rogers 3-axle 110,000-lb. capacity front load trailer.

In conjunction with the Gold Rush Excavator Tour, Volvo is giving away a trip to ConExpo to meet the stars of Gold Rush. Attendees at the Woodco Machinery event had the opportunity to register for this grand prize. CEG
