Wacker Neuson’s new line of cut-off saws is aimed at professional users looking for the highest performance output. The new BTS 630 and BTS 635 saws feature a new air filter concept for long service life and less down time.

The air filter system is a three-stage system, which includes a cyclonic filter, a foam pre-filter and a paper filter. In addition to the filter, the design plays a key role in extending the service life and minimizing downtime. A special coating protects pistons and cylinders from accelerated wear. The pistons also are equipped with two piston rings. Other features designed to extend service life include a poly v-belt and enclosed starter rope housing.

Kristine Zehren, demolition product manager of Wacker Neuson said, “The high torque 5.8 horsepower engine combined with low machine vibration is critical for optimized cutting performance. By combining this performance with a long service life, Wacker Neuson has created saws which offer exceptional productivity gains.

The vibration damping system cuts hand-arm vibration, enabling operators to use the BTS saws for long periods of time, according to the manufacturer.

Three models are available. The BTS 630 weighs 24 lbs. (11 kg) and has a 12-in. (30.5 cm) blade diameter with .08-in. (2 cm) arbor.

The BTS 635 weighs 24.5 lbs. (11 kg) and has a 14 in. (35.5 cm) blade diameter and 1-in. (2.5 cm) arbor. A third model, the BTS 635S weighs 24.9 lbs. (11.2 kg) and offers a soft start option, which includes a spring system that supports the starter mechanism and reduces the effort required to pull the starter rope.
