Products, people and performance were rolled out at Key Equipment’s Open House and Wacker Neuson Road Show on April 22, in Honey Brook, Pa.

More than a dozen manufacturers were represented and Wacker Nueson took center stage with its 53-ft. Mobile Road Show and product showcase.

This year’s Road Show features the unveiling of the Wacker Neuson ST45 compact track loader with an impressive 4,500 lbs. (2,041 kg) of capacity and clean slate design.

Key Equipment’s new inventory of Wacker Neuson excavators and loaders also were on display and available for operation in the “Demo Den” at Key’s 10-acre site; many contactors took advantage of the opportunity to run the iron.

The staff at Key kept its customers and supporters well fed and entertained throughout the day, with Al Funk, Key’s chairman, serving up the sausages, peppers, and slow smoked pork. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were served and evening entertainment was provided by Tropical Igloo playing amped and acoustic sets in Key’s service bays.

Many landscape, arborist and municipalities stopped by to check out Key’s new line of Terex environmental equipment, featuring the Terex/Woodsman chippers in capacities from 13 to 19-in. (33 to 48 cm) and the low ground pressure Terex TSL210 CTLs.

Key’s arborist business also is supported by lightweight aerial equipment from Biljax and JLG and these lifts were on display at the open house.

“We had a great time and reconnected with so many of our clients that didn’t realize we are once again a full-service equipment company” said Brian Funk, president. “The folks at Wacker did an awesome job setting up over 40 products and giving our clients expert factory advice on products and applications. It was really gratifying to see our staff, vendors, and clients all interacting and enjoying such a beautiful spring day. Everyone in the construction industry works so hard and it’s nice to get a few hours to relax and enjoy the moment.”
