Wacker Neuson's wet screed is available with a line of magnesium boards. The boards are available in seven different lengths to fit a variety of jobs. Magnesium is strong, lightweight metal that reduces the weight of the boards by more than 25 percent compared to the previous aluminum boards. Contractors will continue to see excellent strike-off results, but these lighter boards are less likely to sink in the fresh concrete. It also is easier for operators to move on and off the concrete and for general transport/storage, according to the manufacturer.
Wacker Neuson's wet screeds are designed to fit the demands of every operator. The twin handle system is fully height and angle adjustable offering maximum operator comfort and can fold to almost half the machine height for easier storage and transport. A vibration dampening handle minimizes vibration to the operator while maintaining machine and board control; reducing average HAV to below 5m/s2. An engine support plate supports the drive train to increase engine life and aids in reducing HAV.
Wacker Neuson's wet screed bridges the gap for contractors looking for an economical and faster way to strike off concrete, but don't need to invest in larger truss screeds. Contractors can easily configure the wet screed to meet their job site needs with boards ranging from 4 to 16 ft. (1.2 to 4.8 m) in a 4.9 in. (12.4 cm) width. Additional versatility is available due to the adjustable eccentric weights. The exciter can be adjusted to seven different positions allowing the unit's amplitude to be matched to the application. The exciter is fully enclosed protecting the operator and promotes lower maintenance. A double set of exciter bearings require no greasing for reduced maintenance and long life.
Wacker Neuson's light weight wet screed is powered by a 35 cc Honda engine. It is designed for quick and accurate strike-off with or without the support of grade stakes and forms for residential and light commercial applications.
