Walsh Equipment Company held an open house event on June 22 and 23 at its headquarters in Prospect, Pa. This year's event was the first since Walsh's major expansion, which doubled the size of this location. The event attracted a sizable crowd, with an estimated attendance of 1,300 over the course of the two days.
Guests of the two-day event were treated to door prizes and a pig roast while roaming the yard to see the many equipment displays.
There also was an opportunity to speak with factory representatives and Walsh employees about the latest innovations. Continuing educational courses, along with all the equipment on display and good food to eat, also were offered.
The world-famous Dancing Diggers were on hand with a presentation to display their skills and machine capabilities. A wide range of JCB machines, including telescopic handlers, backhoes, compact excavator models and skid steers captured much of the attention.
The dealership's other equipment lines received plenty of notice as well. Dynapac, Gledhill Road Machinery, J&J Truck Bodies & Equipment, KM International, LeeBoy, Rosco, Schwarze street sweepers, Super City truck bodies, Tiger mowers and Western snowplows were all featured prominently.
Walsh Equipment Company's Charlie Walsh explained that the dealership has been holding open house events every few years since the 1960's and there is always something for everyone.
He went on to say that the event provides an outstanding opportunity for loyal and future customers to learn about the line up of machines Walsh Equipment offers, and to catch up with the dealership's employees in a relaxed and fun setting.
Walsh Equipment is a family-owned dealership and has been serving customers for more than 80 years. The company's headquarters is in Prospect, Pa., with a second location in Lilly, Pa.
